North Pinellas Fire Cadets Post 969

The North Pinellas Fire Cadet Program

The North Pinellas Fire Cadet Program is for young men and women, age 14 to 20, who are interested in learning about a career in Fire and Emergency Medical Services. The Cadets attend training classes and are allowed to participate in a ride-along program where qualified cadets can actually ride on fire trucks and respond with fire department crews to calls. This helps Cadets gain first-hand experience as they observe firefighters and assist the Fire Department in a non-hazardous capacity. In addition to Fire Department-related responsibilities, Cadets attend regional and national training events that gives them the opportunity to put the skills they have learned to the test in both individual and team based scenarios that emphasize the duties performed in the fire service on a daily basis.

Weekly meetings are held at
Palm Harbor Fire Rescue, Station 68,
Wednesday night from 7pm-9pm.

Regular attendance is required
